 To create an environment where every graduating high school senior, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to pursue higher education and reach their fullest potential.

The D.H. Fluellen Scholarship Fund was founded on January 11, 1992, in East Texas. To date, over 105 scholarships have been awarded.

 Our mission is to empower graduating high school seniors from underserved communities by providing scholarships and resources that enable them to pursue higher education, break the cycle of poverty, and contribute to the advancement of their communities. Through this support, we aim to create pathways to success, equality, and opportunity for all students.
